The Village Lutheran Church’s annual 1 st Communion Instruction will soon begin. This class is open to youth in the 5th grade and above who have not had their 1st Holy Communion.
Classes meet Wednesdays during Lent from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Class dates for 2025 are Wednesday, March 12, 19 and 26 and April 2. There will also be Early First Communion Lock-in on Friday, April 4 from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. These classes instruct the children on the meaning of this Christian Sacrament and prepare them to receive 1st Holy Communion at a special Service on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 10:45 a.m.
The registration fee is $55 and includes course materials and materials for the lock-in. One parent or guardian must attend with each child at each Wednesday session. Parents are welcome to be chaperones at the lock-in, but this is not required.
If you would like to have your child complete the 1st Holy Communion classes, please complete the registration form and payment of $55 by Sunday, March 9, 2025.
